6th Bead Soup Blog Party : 3rd Reveal

Today is the day for the 3nd and final reveal for 6th Bead Soup Blog Party organized by Lori Anderson. This year the bead soup blog party got so big that Lori had to break it down into three reveals. If you haven't yet, do check out the first and second reveals.

This year, my partner is lamp work artist Rachel Baron who sent me a very yummy bead soup. After looking at the blue green focal made by Rachel herself, my mind started exploring various designs and once I thought of a simple design with a chain, I knew that is what I am going to make.

I used the focal bead to make a dangling pendant accompanied by green and blue Swarovski crystal. In the chain I used small Swaraovski bicones to add more color. I generally don't use the toggle clasp for a chain necklace so first I thought of using a different clasp in the necklace but eventually used the Swarovski clasp that Rachel has sent and I liked the way it came out.

I was wondering what else to make from the remaining beads and one tiny earrings pair came to my mind right away and that's what I made.

I still have leftover beads from the soup which I plan to use later to make a matching bracelet.

Now its time to go blog hopping. Why don't you come along with me :)
